Twin Exhaust Novas

Was thinking earlier on about exhauts for the Nova and suddenly I thought about a twin exit i.e either side single tailpipe.

Bit like this (but imagine them oval on a Nova with the MK1 cut out bumper)

Is is possible to retain the spare wheel well but still be able to route an exit to the other side? Also the tow hook would have to be repositioned which would probably be the hardest thing to sort out, but it's an idea lol

Anyone ever seen this type of modification on a Nova? Anypics? Any info?

Think it would look really nice and suit the rear bumper.

Why keep the towing eye at all?

I dont think you would be able to keep the spare wheel well, its not center is it :( (BTW i mean to do it proper rather than like the twin backbox things you can get.

Thats a good point that, would never really tow anything, never have in many years of motoring.

Will need to see a good underside shot of a Nova hatch, even if it's not dead centre should still be able to fit a silencer I'd assume.

You're right its off center but I'd assume smaller rear silencers should be able to fit. Rather than being 3 big silencers it will be a 4 silncer system with 2 smaller rear silencers.

Need some exhaust specialists here to get some opinions

if your car is a gte/gsi, then the fuel pump will get in the way.....

I have a mr2 (mk2) exhaust system that I got off ebay for pence, it comes with a huge silencer & 2 tailpipes. I have it in mind for a mid engine project. it fits rather well.

Mowgli, the car isn't an injection model, obviously this will be mated to a LET so will accomodate the fuel pump.

Is the MR2 rear setup tailppes either side with a silencer in the middle?
