1.6 8v with a tricky cam
2 speed box!! first and reverse
fibreglass doors, bonnett and tailgate

yoko tyres (cant get them now!!!)

looks like the local tesco car park to me lol. i found myself having to do an evasive maneuver after taking a wrong turn and going the wrong way towards oncoming taffic lmfao. quick yank of the bar, 1st and nail it an gone, as if it never happened :).

A little bit more spec on the car
lsd with a 1.2 nova gear ratio.
corsa servo brakes (every comp nova should have this conversion done).
drill and cut top mounts to play more with the negative and possi camber.
loads more will keep updating as i rememberlol

A lad from down wales called darren underwood built the gearbox, a right bit of kit! the best way i can explailn how he built it is he takes the box apart puts 1st and reverse in but upside down!!!! so 1st is in the same place but reverse is were 2nd should be!! a proper piece engineering:thumb:

Lmfao @ the scooby owner on the comments, why is it always the same from people of that stereotype, they think a nova is such a hateful little car thats its not possible to set one up to move and handle well enough to shame exotic or expensive cars, look at the time you did that skyline (if you remember it) where there was a thread on the skyline forum linked here and the comments were the same, 'oh i bet the skyline driver wasnt trying' till someone piped up that the car was owned by a site member and had a spec list longer than the M1 and it was indeed being driven properly it just couldnt brake and accelerate the same way your little nova did/does lol

i didnt hear the co-driver on the horn :confused:

as soon as i could see the scooby i would of had my foot on the horn and not moved untill we'd passed him lol

There is an autotest event being held at the end of the month, held by durham auto club (dac), it is near durham, a place called streatlam, A1 junction 61,i will post the exact date when i can get in touch with the organiser.

The event is a great starting event for people in road cars wanting to try autotesting, plenty of people there to help you with learning the tests. You will have to join the dac on the day but this only costs between £10 and £15 for a years membership, plus about £20 to enter the event ;). Or if people just want to turn up and watch they can, pm me if you want more info.

I will be putting more info about the event on here as i get it;)

its called auto solo when there is no reversing, get yah self down to durham at the end of the month to learn reverse flickslol car does not have to be road legal it just has to start and stop;)

Not all autotesting involes reversing,
Soloing is gnerally higher speed and you dont tend to loop around withing a small course area.
I have been soloing for a few years now.. is great fun as its a cross between Autotesting and Sprinting.
Did some grass autotesting in my last Nova but not done any 'testing recently
When the kitcars finished (and started) il be trying my hand at both.
