right so im basically assumming from the article that the chassis area by the strut top needs to be cut so it sits flush with the turret?

So -
1. Im going to cut along 3 sides down along then up.
2. Push the metal back and then ad 3 small pieces of metal to create the box section? again 1 doen each side and then 1 along the bottom of the box.?

is this how people normailly do it?

It may be easier to cut the entire shape out, take the lip off it, and weld the top edge to the seam under the turret.

Mine just had a slit cut in it, pushed back and then welded back up again. Plenty of room, can get belt off easily etc.

i cut the section out and welded pieces in, just make sure you go far enough back because mine is mm's off catching lol
