what gearbox works with a C20LE

I found a C20LE from a daewoo esprao. It a GM engine, I was wondering if the engine would bolt strainght onto my gearbox in my Corsa B 1.4 SPI 8 v.

I dont think it will.

If i remember correctly, you will nee anything from an F16 upwards.

Im sure loads of people can confirm this better than me.

True if its a 2litre then anything F16 and up

It's a C20LE 8v, O.K. so it will not work then, what gearbox is in the standard 1.4 SPI 8 v corsa B? where can you find the model #, I looked everywhere....

It will either be an F10 or an F13.

Its stamped on the end of the gearbox, but unless you know where to look, you will never find it.

The F## number is usually on top of the g/box, under the selector rod, caked in loads of grime & oil.

As said above, you will need an F16/F20 maybe an F18 if you can get one, but they are pants (F18).

Cool, thanks guys... Looks like the best option is to look for a complete set up, engine, gearbox complete.... This engine was so cheap I had to find out if it could work... Thanks again.

F20's are not by any means expensive. Well, not here anyway!

true i guess i can bring in an f 20..... but then i have to change drive shafts, axles, etc. i.m thinking ... in the end, i want to have about 120-140 hp.... with minium work... something i can just buy complete an drop in with some beer and frinds over a weekend...i love the ole school setup with drafts, it will sound like a monster!! I'll wait for now... the 1.6 spi still has loads of life in it still.

Fit a GSi/GTE engine. 1600 8v and MPi (mutipoint injection) and go quite well when mated to an F13CR.

You can use the same mounts shafts and hubs etc etc.
