I have finally got me motor back on the road! AI had a race last night with a Primera around the Slough industrial estate, and it had no chance. F**k knows what the bloke was thinking, he was all over the shop.

I put a new head on it, skimmed and ports made bigger and polished with a janspeed manifold.

I ran it in over xmas and took it out last night 4 a blast. A 1.0/1.1 ax had a go, but you can hardly say that's a race.

Yeah straight away you can feel the difference, and it sounds much more throaty. It isn't at its full potential yet because I need to take it to a garage this lunch time to get the manifold tightened to the centre pipe more cos it is blowing slightly.

they don't stock to much, but can get it in with in 3-4 days

better than ripspeed, I got a K&N airfilter for my old SR from them and it took 3 weeks!!!!! but I complained and got it for half price, so that made it ok!!

that's another thing, I have had it put back to LRP petrol so that is more expensive, but the car will go picker on it and thats what counts.

Can you do anything to get it on unleaded? can't see it making too much difference to the power and all the money you save you could use to keep servicing it to keep it fast anyway!

I got it changed to unleaded, the car keepet having black spark plugs cos of it, which means it is over fueling, which also means I'm not getting the best performance cos it was not useing all the fuel. It will go better on LRP cos the car is designed 4 it.

My next mod is interior. My uncle has some 90 spec escort turbo recaros 4 me to put in to me nova, I just need to find the rear seat 2 match, and they're going in.

bit of a nightmare finding the rear seat, it may be easier to get the original seat recovered or something.

the rear seat hasn't got to be out of a turbo, the rears are the same for the other escorts of that time. I should be able to find 1. (fingers crossed)

I have been told I should be able to use the nova sub frame. I'll get al the bits and the worry about getting them in there. I'm going to get a grey dash and door cards 2.
