Hi-Anyone got good experience with colourtune's?I'm thinking of getting a set but my engine(1.4 8v) has the tube type holders for the plugleads and I'm not sure if the colourtune bit's will fit.I've read some reports in the search but nothing to say which style lead was fitted.Don't want to go to the hassle if I can't see the flame...Thanks

I think its got an adapter to fit most common plug leads, pm the_general_chancer as he has/had one and i watched him use it, interesting toy tbf but seemed to work, his was used on an 8v engine, i woulndt have thought your be able to use one on a 16v engine though!

Exactly its only a round thing and screws in by fingers so how you gonna get it down the hole to screw it in on a 16v and more to the point how you gonna get it out lol

I know the OP said his is an 8v but just in case anyone was wondering about using one on a valver:thumb:

I presume your ment to be seeing whats happening inside? never used/seen one used so lol

But you can barly see the top of the piston in a 16v let alone anything with a lead on the top lol

How exactly, have you actually seen one in use?

How are you gonna see that down the bottom of the plug hole.....

yeh great bit of kit grasser, well worth the money, make sure u get the right size for a car (14mm) as the majority of em are for motorbikes (10-12mm). i wouldnt worry about the plug connector, in the kit u get an extension to link the colourtune to the plug lead, and its a good 10 cm, maybe more long, so will accomodate it fine. i just unscrewed the lil cap from the topside of my sparkplug and screwed it onto the extension to enable the plug lead to click into place.

one piece of advice with it tho, be gentle with it and try use it as quickly as poss as the heat from the engine will melt nearby plastic components, might be an idea to wrap the extension lead in a small piece of ali foil near the engine side to protect it. mines seems to break on me everytime ive use it, its the point when your finished tuning and u go to take it out it happens i find, dont screw the extension lead up too tight and youll probably be fine, but repairing it with a bit of gaffa tape it easy anyhow.

again, great bit of kit, will pay for itself over garage costs after its first use. :thumb:
