Are the fittings the same?

If I take my Mk2 headlights out, and wack some Mk1's in, everything will just connect up the same apart from the electric adjustment?

Same for indicators i assume?

mk1 headlights use 2 plastic slots under the actual head light to hold it sitting right, and electric adjustment wont be compatible with mk1 head lights i dont think, not all too sure though

Your need to change the clips/brackets (whatever you want to call them) under the headlight, and the sidelight might need the wiring changing, then again the mk2 sidelight bulb holders should fit the mk1 lights.

Oh and just leave the wires floating for the adjusters, mk1 is manual of course.

is the bracket easily made up, or do i need to take a trip to a scrappies?

going to just strip wires and re-wire myself, always find it easier that way anyway.
