wierd alarm?

my alarm system is playin up a little at the mo, for example it takes 2 presses of the button to lock the doors, the door pins only go down on the 2nd, and when i open it they open 1st time, but heres the wierd thing, when i get in, close the doors, and try to start the car it wont start until i press the button again whilst in the car, effectively lockin my self in! then it wil start fine, any ideas wots goin on ??

best bet either phone the people who fitted it or the alarm company themselves, see if any other problems like this have been reported

Sounds like its fine,

1. Change the battery in the fob.
2. The immobiliser will kick in after a certain time if you have not turned the ignition on, or that is the way of the alarm, one blip might immobilse it and the second will lock it.
3. Anti Hi jack function will lock you in the car, once the ignition is turned of again it will release.
