bit off topic but my sky connection had dropped to below 1mb, so i did some online test things and it showed my noise margin was bloody ridiculous, bit of ball ache on the phone etc but in the end there DLM software had capped me to 1mb, the woman unblocked it hey presto 3.5mb!

woop!

3.5 is v.high for me btw as i live 4.5km away from the exchange and the lines are terrible!

My connection drops like a prostitutes knickers, yesterday it must have dropped about 5 times in the space of an hour, at least a prostitute makes money for that

Remove the face plate thing off your telephone wall socket, and plug the modem line directly into the internal port. See if that speeds it up

Avoid wireless T-mobile dongle's like the plague. I have lived in two different houses in two completely different areas of ipswich and it has been abso terrible in each. Currently has the ability to do 240kb/s but is actually running somewhere between 0 and 20. And that's if you can even get it to log in and stay logged in to the system long enough to get onto a website!

erm...have you reported it?

A friend had the same problem with 3G, he moaned about it after about 3 weeks, turns out a mast was down, and he was the only one that bothered to say anything, he even got free internet out of it because they reckon it would take upto 12 months to sort...i have no idea why....but theres a moral somewhere lol

but moan anyway, you might get something free ;)
