I've Been offered a set of 16 inch Porsche Alloys for £100, thats without tyres, but he's offered me a good set for an extra £50 or run-flats for an extra £100.

The Alloys are the same as those on Gunny's VXR, same as these

but still in standard grey, no curbing but theres a bit of pitting around the centre hub...

I'm just wondering whether this is a good deal? I've always fancied a set and I know I need the conversion parts too, but even as a money-maker, would it be worth it??

All Help much appreciated! :thumb:

I would imagine so, the VW boys will go nuts for them, and these are the same people spending thousands on BBS rims lol I can't see them being worth any less than that, £150 with tyres is pretty good for any 16" alloys really!

how wide are they?

7 and 8j are popular by vw boys, you'll make some profit ;)

Sold some last year for £600 - remember your buyers are porsche owners who will probably be restoring one or as said VW camper owners!

These have been done to death on the VW front matey, So i would avoid paying a massive amount. Remeber that whatever they go on VW/vaux etc they will need conversion plates. which usually cost another £100 - £200 ish.

Just a heads up as they are not rare, come up loads and are not really that special anymore.

i saw a set of these up on ebay a few months ago which i actually watched to see what they were worth ( would have bought but i was skint )
the sold for £140 which i thought was very cheap and that was with brand new tyres on.

I paid £200 for a set. If you pay a £100 for them, you may double it.

So it'd be better to buy them as they are, without the tyres?
