Idling trouble

just changed the dizzy and cant get it to idle properly now. It idles at 1800 with a bit of a misfire. Anything i can try?

Did you mark the dizzy so the new one went back in the same place?
Sounds like youve put the ignition timing out

unfortunately not, i didn't take it off. how do you adjust the timing?

What engine is it?

On the 1.0, undo the 13mm nut under the dizzy stack, with it running, turn the dizzy slightly both ways to see how it affects idling!

Also, checked that all the leads are in the right order?
