you know the sr/sri/gte/gsi are like 15 ml ish lower than standard. say i bought a -60 ml suspension kit, would that be a combined 75 ml drop on a standard model ? or are those lowering figures thruout the range ?

You would be taking the -15 mm kit off and replacing it with a -60 kit, so it will be -60 mm lower than a standard Nova.

millimeters = mill/mm
millilitres = ml

In answer to your question though, it would be around the -60mm mark.

i only ask cos a while back i fitted some -40 fronts from an sr to my merit, and it dropped it 65! ive noticed in magazines they do -60's for standard and -60's for gte's, and there seems to be a slight grey area with 5 door models im not quite sure about. whether or not they take the original standard lowering into account or if its added for a further drop if u know what i mean, those 40's i put on might have been -60 for a standard wagon if the sr is allready -20 as standard. i dont wanna get caught out fitting -60's and it going down 80 with the tyres stuck on the arches.

That wont happen.

The only reason an SR/SRi or what ever could be lower is if they pre made them with suspension lower than a standard model, which you would have to take off anyway to replace with something to take it down to -60.

Its only the suspension that makes the car lower, so no, your fears wont come true.

why do they sell them as seperate kits in the magazines if so, as all nova suspension is interchangeable isnt it ?

Yeah, but some idiots don't know that they're all the same fit, so will buy the one listed for their car instead of their mates used one of the other type.
