WTF! Cheeky gits! They sent me an official letter as well which they dont usually do with minimum wage rises! So then that would make 4 years of employment and no payrise! I guess shouting about it outside the store manager's office didnt help after all then!
Clearly not lol
Im on the same as you so thats why i know its min wage, and it sucks too:cry:
I got an increase not long ago too, £6.23 p/h now, only good thing about Sainsburys.
payrise = win
ill get one in jan, not technically a payrise as i had to take a 5% pay cut in june but it goes up none the less

I see a payrise as something that is not in relation to minimum wage going up!
i'm assuming that you have tried the having a mental list of things that you have done, can do etc. sorted out & then asking your boss for a rise, thing...
failing that, a knee trembler is a pretty good bargaining tool
hourly rates FTL, salary FTW
hourly rates FTL, salary FTW
Shizzle :p
Price work FTW :d
trouble with salary is when you have a 5 week month, & it gets a bit tight near the end of the month..
i get hourly rate. last year I earned £28k from digging holes & then filling them back in. but after tax, ni, wedding vows, offspring, i get the change from the back of the sofa
grave digger hey mowgli lol
i've never done one for a human, I'm a groundworker, the trade that starts & finishes every building job
I dug a hole once. It was a Tuesday.
Wouldnt do it again mind :( gardening isnt my forte :(

No, months are all 30-31 days long (bar february). Thats only a 1 day difference between each month, so how does that make things tighter?
rj, its down to what day the payroll gets done. some months it is 4 weeks, some its 5 weeks
Ahh, you mean how many weekends?

Yeah i am paid the last Friday on every month which means sometimes i end up with a 5 week month. Even worse at xmas when we get paid the last friday before xmas and then can wait up to 6 weeks to be paid again after blowing everything on gifts!
Im a sales advisor in Debenhams, I imagine he doesnt even know I exist! Apart from the time he said Good Morning Kelly but was obviously staring at my badge! Grrr Pretending he knows my name!

Until the work becomes dry and you have to go down to Leeds to get a couple of jobs in which results in marriage stress and leading to an eventual break up.
4 weekly pay ftw.

So you're on salary for 40 hours and get overtime for any extra then :p

Meh, technicality lol
EDIT: I get paid anything upto 6 weeks after completing work OR 3 monthly after tax bill is paid. Just depends really.

Pretty much yeah but kind of defeats the idea of a salary if you get paid for overtime.
