how hard is it to cover seats? i dont want seat covers i want to re-cover the seats in a diffrent meterial. any tips?

Its Very hard........and takes ages.

I didnt bother with any photos of mine- it was enuff hassle doing it.

ive had the cover off my lower seats to fit heated seat pads... that was about 1-2 hours work, and i found it dead easy, just a bit fiddly thats all if you got big hands & long fingers.

as for machining a new cover etc, i bet it well takes time and is very hard, if the cover is slightly the wrong size it will show, too big itll be sloppy, too tight u just wont get it on.......

wot i did in my corsa was bought a set of those black with big blue stripe seat covers and staple gunned the back seat cover to the actual seat along the back and under neath n it holds fine and tight, n ive got cobra clubmans, blue and black, works a treat :D no nonesense lol 8)

Like Freak I recovered my seats (my mum sewed them together) - thats actually the easy part - dismantling and reassembling them is the hard bit.

Its more fiddley than hard.

Theres lots on metal rods and little metal ring clips that have to be cut away.

I replaced these with plastic mini hose ties worked really well.

I actually saw a ring making device for seats on ebay ages ago!
