Have downloaded a movie and need the subs but they are in different rar's, have extracted both and now have the video and a srt file how do i combine the srt and the video file together so they both play at the same time?

Stick them both in the same folder then use VLC (www.videolan.org/vlc) to play them, you should be able to select subtitle language in VLC.

but i've heard you get loss of quality, why do you want to watch it on your PS3? most new (as in the last 3-4 years) graphics cards have a tv out on them?

on most you can take off the signal cable that goes to the monitor, off at the monitor and plug it into your TV, like on the pic above, which is a view of the back of my tv
