Original nova radio/cassette

This is going to sound reaaly dumb but i cant get the original radion out. I read the haynes manual and it says to undo some spring clips but i cant see them. Can anyone help?

can you see two circular holes eithe side of the radio?

either shove four screw drivers (on in each)

or get a coat hanger, un ravell it to make on long item, and cut it in four.......

alternatively you can buy the proper things from halfords, but it aint worth it

Its easier said than done I tell you!!

Almost destroyed mine getting it out, lost my temper and tried wrenching it out all shapes! So gave it to a chap to do it - and although a perfect installation of the Sony unit - the Phillips standard one now has a huge bend in the cage. Can't see that going back in there!

like mike says but do it a bit different
get a coat hanger, bend it straight, cut into to long bit, the bend it to a U shape, then stick em in each side, and pull it out as one, thats how i did mine!

Firsty I have a Confession, My Radio isn't Standard (but it is as old as the car)

Mine having had so many radios in and out (mainly nicked) doesn't securly hold it anymore, So when I go to pull the face off the whole thing comes out to.
