THE INDIAN WITH ONE TESTICLE
There once was an Indian who had only one testicle, and whose
given name was 'Onestone'. He hated that name and asked everyone not
to call him Onestone.
After years and years of torment, Onestone finally cracked and
said, "If anyone calls me Onestone again I will kill them!" The word
got around and nobody called him that any more.
Then one day a young woman named Blue Bird forgot and said, "Good
morning, Onestone."
He jumped up, grabbed her and took her deep into the forest where
he made love to her all day and all night. He made love to her all the
next day, until Blue Bird died from exhaustion.
The word got around that Onestone meant what he promised he would do.
Years went by and no one dared call him by his given name until a
woman named Yellow Bird returned to the village after being away.
Yellow Bird, who was Blue Bird's cousin, was overjoyed when she
saw Onestone.
She hugged him and said, "Good to see you, Onestone."
Onestone grabbed her, took her deep into the forest, then he made
love to her all day, made love to her all night, made love to her all
the next day, made love to her all the next night, but Yellow Bird
wouldn't die!
What is the moral of this story?????...........................
OH, Come on...take a guess! Think about it...
(You're going to love this!)
And the moral is...
You can't kill two birds with one stone!

There has been 2 minters at my local plus a SWING which had seen better days but a certain member on here utterly pillaged it of anything worth having. One of said minters was a C reg 1.2L which had a spotless beige interior & a boot floor with no signs of any corrosion or even use, under the bonnet was impeccably clean also. Said car is now 1/2 ruined due to the boys in the scrapyard using it to hack about in & abuse doing wheel spins etc. Damn shame.
let- that was below the belt.

ive had 2 traded in at my place! both were rotters and after the sales men were using the scrappage cars for banger racing, and wrote of 3 non scapage cars we can no longer have bits of them!

Just been to aldershot car spares & they have a h reg mint white 3 door with 32k on the clock. wouldnt let me have any bits as it was about to be cubed.
came in on the scrapage scheme.
There are no rules against taking bits off, that's just the scrappy being a dick. We have stripped a few cars which have been traded in on the scrappage scheme, the only thing which has to remain is the actual shell. We took panels, engines, interiors etc.
I was referring to the programme, 'Tonight'. It was actually quite interesting, and took a different angle than I had expected. It showed the many faults with the scheme. Now, I don't think that every rotten old banger should be out on the road, but some of the cars were 11/12 years old and had a good few more years left in them. Running them would have been much better for the environment than building new ones etc...

I really cannot see the logic in that at all, some places are exercising common sense and allowing scrappage scheme cars to be broken but the ones who wont, wtf, are they stupid, its going to be scrapped so why not earn yourself a few extra sheets and sell off some of the parts from them?
There are going to be no scrapyards soon as in the long run theyre going to put themselves out of business.
Take Renaults for example, say your fuel injector breaks on your Megane II, you see theres a written off one in your local scrappy so you go and remove the injector from it and go home and fit it into yours, fire it up and....
Oh noes, it wont work, whyever not....?
Thats because its coded, all newer Renault stuff is like this, and you cannot go to your local dealers to have it coded to your car either as they will only code once.
So if all manufacturers start doing this with their cars, and all of the older cars have been crushed, what is a scrap yard going to sell now?
I will make my own scrapyard... :p And I would never get a car on finance or anything so new cars are out for me, unless I come into some cash lol

anyone wanna chip in and we can get a hitman for gordon brown?
Mine might be joining the scrappage scheme before the year is out lol
Well, I like to own my cars. I'd rather have my Novas and my trusty Cav. I've had less problems with the Cav than my mates have with newer cars which they owe ££££ for. Not to say that I'm not looking forward to our Scotland trip in an Insignia VXR in a couple of weeks :p

How can you tell? Surely it sits in the middle now...
It'll be sitting on your forehead when I teabag you.
Scrappage scheme is merely an incentive to keep the motor industry going, and help the financial institutions by putting people in debt. Simple as that.
Be interesting to see what happens when it ends, although its already been extended once (as I predicted, woohaa lol)
i was more raged when i hear about a lotus carlton being traded in!
Thats just daft, as they're still worth a good £15k+ all day long!

Tell me youre fecking joking???
I hope the dealer spotted what it was and gave em £2k of his own dollar for it, they must check on them what theyre worth and surely the book on one of those has to be about £15k and not just to the enthusiast market surely?

Mine nearly endup being traded in, (even though I would have had to have found a 1.2 engine to put back in it after breaking it)
I wanted a Volvo C30 drivE as they were offering a whopping 20% on top of the goverentments £1k, meaning a 20k car for 15k. Sadly even though the whopping 75mpg would have saved me £150+ a month in petrol the payments were not attractive enough to make me do it.
I think showing that link about the Triumph Mayflower to my dad has actually made him cry...
I think showing that link about the Triumph Mayflower to my dad has actually made him cry...
thats the kind of thing they should restore and stick in the middle of the show room.
Ya reckon, ive not seen one before and as soon as i showed it to my dad he was like "ooh wow not seen one of those little things in a while" then when i said the context it was under "oh god no dont tell me "
triumph mayflowers are damned ugly , they are possibly the most out of proportion car ever made
http://www.pioneer-automobiles.co.uk/Resources/library/triumph%20mayflower%20side.gif
Even so it still doesnt deserve being crushed purely because its over ten years old!
