hiya
iv recently tried to get my fuckin nasty bumper strips off but i found that they are sum metal bracket type things underneath they dont seem to attach to the strip. does n1 know how many they are likely to be. if i took it to a bodyshop would they have to grind it off then respray the whole of the side of the car.
cheers 4 any help they are doin my nut they make car look really tatty

There is 2 rows of like 10! On the doors, rear wing and front! Whole car will need a respray if you remove them!

I presume your car is like B reg or b4!

nah my car is a J plate i dont think the metal bits are even proper brackets and my bumper strips dont look like the 1's iv seen on other novas mine are wider. what do u wrekon i could rip em completely off 2 c how many there are but not sure how 2 fix em on again. wat about sticking sum strips of another car

Look, if its the same ones as the old reg cars which would be a new one to me!

Then the strips are plastic and hard and will just slide off if you pull them away from the front of the car! Underneath will be plastic clips which clip to the bodywork and the strips, these just unclip and under them are the metal pegs!

Slide off, dont rip off! A pic would be good coz then we could see what ones they are!

I took mine off the other day (1.2L) looks heaps better. Mine is a G reg. They were only stuck on. I needed some petrol on a rag to get rid of the glue left on the paint work though.

Yeah, it comes off twice as easy. Need to T-Cut it now though.

Nah your wrong then m8, if its a j pl8 (which mine is) there just stuck on. is it like one long metal strip? i just used a producted called "3R" its a can of adhesive remover , i let it soak for a minit or two then rub like crazy...beleive m8 things will be fine!

Should just be stuck on- the later strips do however have metal strips inside them- these can come away from the plastic/rubber.
Not sure if thats what you are talking about.
