Is the 1litre downpipe the same as the 1.2 litre also if i put a carb downpipe on a mk2 injection model would it fit my exhaust manifold and would i be able to use a mk1 aftermarket exhaust system, would this make it go off to the left or is that only when you put a mk1 backbox on mk2

the answer about the manifold ideas is a big no no. They wouldnt be interchangeable the best thing to do would just get a back box for now. Also a mk1 backbox would look a bit strange with a mk2 bumper as they come out at different angles

1.2 carb downpipe will fit a 1.2i manifold. your need to change the centre section and the rear section, only leaving the backbox.

1 litre exhaust exits the backside of the block compared to the frontside of the rest of the nova models, i doubt you could even bodge it with a welder lol

If i use the mk1 downpipe then i would have to use a mk1 system which i have but its a sportex one. so the downpipe will fit my manifold so im assuming my sportex one will fit. But i dont see how the back box will come out at a funny angle because im using a mk1 system, not putting a a mk1 back box on a mk2 system. I have now put in full stops;)

NO!!!!!!!!!


the 1.0 exhaust is massively different, the mk1 system will foul on a mk2 bumper, and it will make no worthwhile gains to a 1.2 spi by fitting one. but adding a 'performance' backbox onto the std system will be cheaper, and make a nice noise
