1600 twin 40s no spark??????

hey all i have recently converted my nova gsi to twin 40 webbers all smooth convertion, got it all wired up and running on sunday wenr to take for a spin just got warm and the car cut out got no spark. so changed the coil and ignition modual still no spark there is power to the coil and all wiring fine.

Distributor !?

Not sure on OHC, but in a CVH there is a hall effect sensor in the distributor module, which basically informs the coil to pulse. Sensor packs up... No spark, allthough not heard of this problem on the OHC.

dizzy fine just been messing around with old ignition modual and got it to run but the modual got very hot and didnt like being held down

probs nothing to do with why your car isnt firing but might be worth a look, when my nova didnt have a spark, i changed the dizzy, coil, leads by the roadside and no joy, got it home and left it the night, came to it the next morning and it fired up, turned out to be the alternator charging at like 20volts, might be worth a look chap
