Ive put a 2.0 16v into my nova and im running twin 45 webers but it wont start. Ive been told I have to out a cavalier distributor and coil on it but it still wont start. Also which which Cavalier do I need the distributor off. Ive just got a 1.6 on from the breakers and it fits on ok. It turns over but it wont spark. Ive tried changing coils over and all sorts but it still wont start. Can anyone help?

Are you shure that you have the plugs in the right orientation. Remember to place them 1342 (or whatever the order is) anti-clockwiase!

I take it you got the correct ign amplifier which was on the 1.6 cav....

First time i did mine it didn't work because i had a screwed dizzy :(

Check the plug order though

The dizzy should look like this....

You need the accosiated bit of wiring and amp, along with a coil.

yes it is coke, so if you have anything else, you cant just use any old supermarket softdrink.

be sure you stick to the orignal coke brand, or red bull is a good enough substitute, anything else and you just ent got a cat in hells chance

Think my dizzy coil/module came from a early astra if i remember right.
(tho i dont use any of it now)
I might have it all still in the garage.

letme know if u need anything.

As for starting problems.

check all earths.
check module/amp
balance of carbs/dizzy setting

LOL.

Dannova, you say it turns over, but doesn't spark? Are you sure you've not missed something in the wiring? Will (NovaNutter) decided to remove an old alarm from his Nova that was not being used. 3 of us checked the wiring and it all looked like it was leading to no where. Once we cut the excess wiring out the car didn't start. It wasn't until 12:30 at night that we'd manage to re-wire the circuit back into the car and then it started. Even thought something may look like it's not needed, it might be being used to create a circuit for the ignition.
