View Full Version : Driveshafts & Ball joint help

Alright i got my corsa gsi shafts yesterday and mk2 cav 1600 inner cvs i fitted them all and the long driveshatf went in not a problem, got to the gearbox shaft and what a bitch, i cannot get the arm back on to the ball joint it is out by about 1/4 inch, could this be because of the abs rings? thanks

happened to me and after much pissing about it was the wrong shaft, too long so the ball joint would not fit. I was trying to put corsa shaft on an Nova

you change the circlip...to a new one
or do what i did and bend the circlip in slightly so it can get past the splines

well i went to the garage for a bit of help, the W****r hit the Inside of the cv and where the circlip sits he smashed it off, not happy wat to do now
