Comp brake do solid ones.

i have spax rsx coilovers if that makes any difference.

Yep they're fine, go for Compbrake alloy topmounts, you can get adjustable (slight camber and caster adjustment) or not (I see no reason to go for non adjustable TBH!)

then go for the ECCENTRIC top mounts, these are adjustable top mounts that will allow you to get the best set up.

CONCENTRIC top mounts are solid ones, but not as good if you want to get the car set up really good.

Why cant you fit them to fit fixed platform struts?

As above - I was rthinging about getting eccentric topmounts (you occasionally see them on the bay for about £70) - will need to adjust my 60mm drop on the Puntova as it used to wear the inner tread like mad!

In fact I know you can fit them to 'normal' fixed plat. struts - as I did it a few years ago!?
