Howdy all, just been out in my other car as the nova is going in for paint etc over winter. It's a 52 plate 318 coupe, in silver with multiple spoke 18's. It has 112k but a 30k engine was fitted 10k ago with a new clutch. The rings or bores in the old engine were gone. It's a very nice drive, quick enough and good on juice. The one prob is when I start it oil smoke comes into the cabin and drifts under the bonnet...only for 20 secs but it's doing my head in. I thought the engine change would sort it?!? There could be a few things, rocker gasket and oil filler seal, so replaced these. That leaves breathers, sump, oil dip stick gasket or gearbox prop shaft join. It must be near a part that gets warm quickly otherwise no smoke? 1 litre of oil will do maybe 5k which is fine. Any other ideas? I can buy it for 5800 as that's what I owe on finance and I know the car so wondering if I buy something else as I can vt this one or spend a bit more trying to find the problem?
