Basically i swapt the nova for a scooby which i no longer have , now the new owner has painted the wheels black put a full new suspension kit on it and done the head on it ,was in it a few weeks ago and it still goes like hell just think the astra worth more than the nova , the astra had recently before i got it alot of money spent on it so im lost what to do when i sold the nova i supplied new doors with the car and theyve still not been painted and fitted to the car so it does need paint work , but i do no its a good shell

the nova had a ported and polished head with a power cap and oil catch tank (home made ) and chipt ecu as far as im aware its still the same and running the same i was told it had an estimated 175 bhp thats what the garage that done the exhaust told me obv this cant be confirmed

the novas stupidly fast and fun to drive , the astra fast toos but just not like the nova i think i would do it if he gave me the money to cover the cost of the doors getting painted , idealy it needs afull paint job

"so has it not got a full cage in it? i'm not sure if its safe enough"
i would save nova
maybe with a bit of cash, look at some prices for xe novas and astra gsi's and then show him:)

arrgh i would have it if there was a full roll cage honestly scared me lol any 1 got 1 with a cage ?
Grow some balls instead of asking a stupid question on a Nova website!
its ahard decision but I'd maybe keep the astra, I saw the nova up knockhill about a month back after seeing it for sale on pistonheads and for some reason I thought that the in the flesh it didnt look nearly as nice as it did in the photos. In my opinion I think they make it look a litlle nicer than it is, cant for the life of me remember why though, I was half cut at the time haha
saying that though I'd take it back if you can get cash your way.

Definitly the Nova. MK3 Astras are ugly, the MK2 was the best looking Astra - and you have one of them already.

ditto.
Nothing special about that Nova atall IMO. Poverty bumpers, usual XE conversion & a shell that needs doors & paint. 10 a penny.
Sorry, its not what you want to hear. Astra GTE build rocks though. :thumb:

so despite it being your old car and you enjoy the thrill of it and know the history, and also despite everybody telling you that you should buy it over the astra. you think of the most stupid reason ever not to buy it back?
roll cages come up for sale all the time on here and can pick a full cage up for around £200. buy the nova back, buy a cage and enjoy it!
