No. Not even worth splitting the engine & box for.
Lightened flywheels can help tuned engines, but you can also suffer a drop in torque aswell. On a 1200 it just isnt cost efficient. There is no measurable power gain to be had from a lightened fly, esp when it isnt heavy to begin with.
You won't get a power gain as such, but it will reach power faster and easier, so feel more powerful.
However, on a 1200 it will just make it even less able to hold higher speed
is for rally use only !head is skimmed 60 thou ported and polished crown wheel and pinion installed .. lsd new cams ..would a fly wheel help ?? i just want as much power as possible out off a 1.2 im not allowed to change the carb ..
Would be good on a rally car then, as said to get the revs up quicker. Guess it depends how much lighter it is...
so it increases acelleration really but top end speed comes down abit ??

no, top end stays the same, acceleration is increased, but you'll lose speed quicker due to less inertia in the flywheel
so if you've got a steep hill to climb, its not going to happen lol
