[novasportc550]

started into the rebuild of my sport last month.

got the engine bay painted yesterday

goint to be fitting 2 new doors, 2 new wings and a new bonnet, all genuine parts

front suspension parts are going away tomorrow to get shot blasted.
my nut and bolts are away getting renickle plated, they should be back this week............

Nice bit of work! I'm noticing a trend on this bolt plating on Sports! Glad you've gone for the original finish it all adds to the detail! I've got most of the bolts getting done for C75BEC at the moment, couple are going to get done in Nickel black aswell for the shocks etc.

well folks, started back into my sport today. the drivers door, drivers wing and bonnet had some small dents , so fixed them and primed them. then i rubbed the rest of the panels down, 1k primered them and painted the backs ..

Looking good, nice to be able to paint it professionally yourself. At least you know the job will be done right and that corners are not cut.

Yeah i found them a bit out and was never 100% happy with it, rich thinks i had an early door but i fitted a late door handle to it so im not sure, i wonder if it had a non gen skin on it

Not sure how that could have happened as I checked both sets of my decals and they were both the same length, must have been a miscut. Its not like the Nova is like an AMC Pacer with different length doors! lol

Did the decals fit OK, are you happy with the finish & colour?
When they are photographed the colour looks slightly odd but when I saw Decs with them on they looked fine.

Great stuff. For the price they are extremely good in comparison to the old PNG/RSR ones.
Decals always have a certain amount of stretch in them, could they not be pulled accross a little?
