Following on from my slipping standard clutch problems I fitted the Helix uprated cover plate today (fun job). After fitting I have had to adjust the clutch cable nearly all the way up the thread to get the pedal in the right place and to get the clutch to release.

Does this seem right? Is it due to the stronger springs in the pressure plate not allowing the the diagraphm to come out as far towards the release bearing as with the standard clutch?

Haven't been for a test drive to be honest, roads are too wet.

Just seems strange to have had to adjust it so much further up the cable than with the standard clutch?

Yes this is normal, youre clutch pedal should be set level with youre brake pedal as a rule of thumb

be prepared to get a new clutch cable, it sounds like this new cover will need more pedal pressure to disengage & the cable is the weakest part of the mechanism
