on a corsa sport 1.6 comes on when i go past 2.500 rpm but if i keep it below this it dont come on ?

You have a problem with a sensor I expect.

Look up (ggogle) TopBuzz website, it tells you ho to read off the fault codes from the ECU & how to interpret the flashes into the codes given on the site.

It's not hard, you simply earth out an ECU pin with a 'paper clip' & count the flashes. That or pay a hefty garage bill.

Before you do it however, check the engine loom for dodgy plug connections or frayed wiring on any engine sensors.

Depending what reg it is theres also the pedal test,and the paperclip test happens in the diagnostic port btw
