Im a noob lol

Looked at my phone this morning....8am.... theres me thinking great its only 7 :( turned laptop on it says 8.30, meh 7.30 :(

Cooker says 8.35 :(

Checked my watch just 9.45.....

Then kinda dawned on me that is it actually 8.45am an not 7.45 :S bugger lol

i used to have an american neighbour who had never heard of the clock change..... the day the clocks went back was hilarious, she'd arranged to meet someone for lunch at the local pub & got there before the place was open. she was thumping on doors & windows, generally raising hell, and most of the village heard her.......

it was originally meant for the farmers to get their dairy cows in etc, but farmers keep their cows in huge sheds for the winter & milk & feed them under lights..

it is an archaic idea, but it actually has a practical & safe use. if its dark in the morning, more people get knocked down, apparently it isn't so bad in the evening, so its mostly for schoolkids

we do it in ireland aswell and i just came back milking the cows lol started at 7 finished at 10

i only work part time. we have to milk 140 cows using 16 milking machines.

Nope, pretty much all of the northern hemisphere use DST - including America (bar a couple of states), so lord knows why Mowgli's American friend had no clue about it lol
