Does anyone know what type of performance air filters are available for a 1.0 carb nova?

K&N might list something. It would be a simple round shaped, replacemnt of what you have.

My advice is do not bother. No gains to be had & it will save you the mistake of wasting the money.
I can send you a K&N sticker if you are able to pretend you fitted it?

Its probably no-longer listed. rare performance item.

So long as you dont spend out too much on such an item. Standing in the queue at Halfords behind a guy paying £80 for a K&N 57i to go on a 1.2 SPi Corsa was pant-whettingly amusing(almost).

it just makes a 1.0 sound like a freshly unblocked toilet pan, when you floor it....

Depends whose definition of 'nice' you listen to. The only sound worse than an underpowered engine, is that of a splitting foreskin.

wow, i've never heard the sound of foreskin splitting, got an audio clip? lol

Don't bother getting a 1L K&N it won't sound that good and everyone that knows about cars will know you've got a performance filter on the worlds smallest engine lol

a more of a suttle sound ;)

As an example imagine putting a K+N on your Grans sewing machine lol

subtle? subtle is fitting a performance filter and the only difference you notice is the sound of the internal wastegate opening ;)

subtle is not putting a K&N on a 1 litre, but if you like it, go for it lol

Here, have some rep Andy lol

Thanks for your help

seriously, there is no point in fitting any performance stuff to the 1.0 engine. just save up & get a larger engine & box.

The 1.0 and 1.2 carb share the same size of carb, and bolt pattern. I know ones weber 32tl and the other is pierburg 1b but it still means the same size of k&n fits both... I've tried it. If someones selling a bolt on filter for a 1.2 carb buy it, ask in wanted as a lot of people will haveone lying around

just remember to buy a 1.2 one, so you don't get any more stick

Was going to say, I'm sure kissydave fitted a 1.2 bolt-on to his 1.0.

Not really worth it though. More hassle than its worth, especially in winter when it ices up lol

As for the 57i, does that mean they had 56 other incarnations of the K&N induction kit before they found one that really was crap? lol
