haha our house was awesome, i could have thrown a tennis ball onto fistral bay from our front room, bloody brilliant,

did some good surfing this year too, i can stand up alright on a solid board now, it was a 7ft board

going to try a small one next year!! brap brap, surfed for 4.5 hours yesterday and i feel like crying today, my calfs are proper done for lol

body boarding looked like really good fun too! i struggle to see people without my glasses though so i was squinting like mad to watch them haha, back to work tomorrow though :(

I've never been into the water at Fistral, despite living 5 miles away for 6 years lol Watergate all the way for me.

Might be convinced to try Fistral this year though.
Magic seaweed is suggesting the surf next week will be hooooooj :d

Surfing always looks like great fun but I can imagine it's very difficult.

very very tiring, learning the little tricks that make it less tiring is well worth while! like the easiest way to get over waves, and learning to paddle through waves on your board

fancy you living just 6 miles away :( id bloody love to live down there!

Sept->June was cool (if you dont mind the rough weather), the "summer" was hateful for living there as it was always busy lol.

Would happily move down there now though as I can be a recluse in the summer with ease now lmao

Fresh Boom bar, Eden, spingo and pasties ahoy :d

Mrs Hobbit was a receptionist there for a few months, just as a temp though. Was so gutted when she left, I used to get as much free beer as I could drink as they bin off all the real stuff at the end of the week and start again

kept the barrel though :)

They seem to be expanding, keep seeing a few boom bar artics about, when they only had one a few months back.

I remember (well ok I dont but my dad does), in the mid 90's the Officers Mess on RAF St Mawgan that they asked for a 2nd barrel for that weekend and Mr sharps said that he only had 5 barrels, and all were sold to there and the 4 other pubs he sold to lol

Last year they were building the ass off Newquay so I'm surprised there arent any construction jobs about.

Look on Magic Seaweed to see if tehre is any surfing spots near your home :)

FAIL :(

I was ill for the week, ghey
The sea was MASSIVE, w00t
The wind was making the surf messy, and no one was out at Watergate or Fistral (or anywhere for that matter)
Magicseaweeds report said that the conditions were extreme to life threatening lol Gave that a miss :(

In my ill state it was also too windy to fly the kite as it would have just ripped my arms off lmao.

Think I'll have to make a run for it down there again on my tod in a month or so :)
