swapped over a set of calipers and discs earlier, started late and had to work into the dark via torchlight, plus i was a knob and jacked the car up by a kurb which made getting the wheels on and off fun. anyways, all went well minus one of the lil phillips screws that hold the disc on, what a fukca that was. and then i come to bleed the brakes, one side fine, other side the nipples all corroded, i couldnt get on it with the tools i had, so it went unbled. aswel as the warning light on the dash coming on every time i brake, jesus fok the pedal goes right to the floor and then i get about a quarter braking, so ive got f1 brakes now, ave some o that. handbrakes still decent tho, tested it out on a roundabout in the pissing rain, good fun on the old opposite lock lol

^ just realised what a pointless thread, but hey, oh well lol

i can't believe you told us that....it is the exact opposite of a how to guide.....

next time:

1. park better
2. start earlier
3. make sure you have enough screws
4. make sure the bleed nipples are usable.
5. if you can't manage the above, don't drive it.

6. Use the correct tools
7. Don't post random things like "my cars not roadworthy"
8. Why start so late?
9. Have some neg rep!

Right so, you hit some kid out on his bike because you couldn't stop. You get locked up for knowingly driving an unroadworthy vehicle and the kid gets disabled for the rest of his life because you're a ****.

Its ok if you tried to fix a problem on the engine...only to realise it stalls everytime you stop....but having brakes that don't work? thats idiocy,

pretty much the first thing i did on mine was to fit bigger brakes and get them working, that was just after the engine was fitted and wasn't even wired up

^ lol max

and bobs yer uncle, its done now, easy when youve got the right gear.

and for those that wernt happy, before u strike me off as a total retard, the job HAD to be done due to a car sale/swap, the reason why i was working in the dark after work cos it was the only chance i had to do it, and the only reason i drove it like it, was to get home, as i was doing the work away from home, where the other car was i switched parts with. and with thought i drove slower and more carefull than the usual grandad pace i take anyway. the handbrake on the roundabout was purely for entertainment purposes in a controlled environment with no cars or pedestrians within 100 yard radius of me. admittedly tho, i said i was a knob for parking at the kurb, i cant say anything about that, my own fault lol

Go directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect two hundred pounds.

Crime of the century, you should be hung, drawn and quartered.

Why didn't you just get a taxi/lift home?
