Best tyres for 16's

right i've just bought some 16s for ma nova but with no tyres i just need to no what are the best tyres i can get or are 195/45/16 the best :?: what about 205/50/16s :?: what would be the best bet? and if it helps the ive just got some 60mm g-max springs so it will lowered 60mm all round and im getting the rear archs rolled. cheers craig

195/45 16" are fine if the wheels are 49mm offset

I have 195 45 16 and they fit fine with a 60mm and 5 people in the car, no scrubbing.
195 40 16 would look great but only a handful of tyre manufactures produce tyres in this size and they are VERY expensive i've found. Your lookings at over ?100 a corner, unless anyones seen them cheaper cause I haven't.

I've got Yokohama AVS sport which cost ?55 each, and you can't get much better for the price and the performance!

Do 195 tyres fit on a 205 wheel? coz i thought they do, is it the treaded part of the tyre that they measure the width??????

Yes locky you will get 195 on 205 or the over way round, maily depends what J (width) the tyres are. For 205/195 you are looking at about 6-6.5 J.
