Where would be the best place to get this as i'm having a go at making my own exhaust:thumb:

I know that demon tweeks sell the over axle bends

There is a few steel stockists round here but what sort of side wall thickness will i need so it won't melt lmao

Going to try making it in mild steel to start off with, but does it have to be seamless or will cold drawn steel be okay?

ANY IDEAS OR INFO:confused:

Demon Tweeks by the meter or eBay.

OR any online steel stockist where you buy by the meter (this is how i get what i need)

Does it matter what the wall thickness is though Mike?

Can i use any mild steel:confused:

Course you can use mild steel, what you think Ashley systems are made from.

Wall thickness does matter to an extent, you dont want an exhaust system thats 3mm thick wall pipe work an weights 50kg do ya lol lol

1.2mm max IMO.

EDIT: Youll be hard pressed to get seamless tube in such thin wall. BUT to answer no, it doesnt have to be seamless at all.

+rep to you

It will just be the correct axle bend that i'll probably struggle with lol

Side exit solves that then.

Just measur my manifold out let and its more or less 2 1/2" or roughly 65mm should i continue the system in the same diameter or reduce it back to 2" on the system?

Possible back pressure problems from 2 1/2"??

Anyone know about exhaust back pressure on n/a engines?

Is 2" too small for an exhaust?

Also if anyone out there has got a nova exhaust kicking around in there garage/house/workshop, could you get a tape measure and do a quick check agianst this below?? Probably B and E are the main measurements i will need to know?

Manufactured from high quality Swedish aluminised mild or stainless steel to ensure long life and reliability. The large bore pipework and straight-through design of the boxes guarantees superb flow along excellent sound absorption. Ideal for competition use, bespoke applications or kit cars.

Will a mig welder be okay to weld aluminised steel to mild steel?
