I thought corsa gsi shafts were too long? you need 22/34? spline inner joints

Corsa shafts are too long for a nova.

yes, the spline count is the same, I'm sure they're 20mm longer?

Correct!

I have never done a conversion myslef, but after alot of research, they are definately to long!

You need 22Spline GTE or GSI shafts, also, some 1.5td novas had 22splines aswell!

AFIK you use the 1600cav mk2 inner cv's, but if your going to abuse it, I would buy propper shafts and big block hubs:thumb:

Sorry forgot to say it is a corsa lol, So if i get 1.5td splines then they will work, i know you have to use cav mk2 inners but is it only the 1600 ones that u can use

No need to go for custom shafts and big block hubs unless the car is a full on track car really, or a let. Even then some people still run the nova shafts.

1600 ones only from what i remember. 1800 ones should be the same as 2.0 stuff, hence no good for your 22spline shafts.

Which on a corsa you can use any 1.6 ones iirc, Tigra 1.6's are all 22spline iirc.

ok, so if i brought tigra driveshafts they would be suitable?

Pretty sure it's 1800's, and they should be the same as 2ltr on the outside, 22 spline inside.

edit: tried googling it but it brings up a load of crap lol Sure it was 1800's that are usually mentioned.

edit: nevermind, didn't notice you said it was a corsa on 1st page. Might be wrong on the shafts/Cv's too, but I think the only difference is the length.

AlexW

Mk the nova shafts would be too short, tigra and corsa shafts are the same.

1800 cvs are the wrong ones, 1600 ones are the ones needed.

i had the corsa gsi shafts until someone knicked them :@, i have found a set of 1600 tigra driveshafts for £50 the pair, will the cav mk2 1600 inners fit on the tigra shafts,

Sorry to ask silly questions just need to make sure before buying them

1600 ones should be the correct ones. It may be worth asking on corsasport or somone whos done the conversion.

I have no idea on tigra shafts, only aw09 seems to have that answer as he's got a tigra, you will need the cav mk2 1600 inners no matter what
