Its just another form of payment. Usually takes a few (5) days to clear. Quite often find echeque is the only option when a buyer's card or account isn't registered or has expired

My payment has been sent as an eCheque. What is this?

Question : Answer : PayPal's eCheque feature allows you to transfer money directly from your bank account to another user's PayPal account. eCheques differ from Instant Bank Transfers, as they are not instant payments.

With eCheque payments, your bank account will be debited when the transaction is initiated. However, the recipient will typically receive the funds seven to nine working days later.

To make an Instant Bank Transfer you must have an up-to-date credit or debit card registered to your PayPal account, as well as your bank account. This will be used as a back-up funding source in case the bank transfer fails.

You can add a credit or debit card (https://www.paypal.com/helpcenter/main.jsp;jsessionid=JSBDsBFY1p2PJ49GqzWYGhQ68yw66B fjqCMcQbGvG7zDQ7FBLv32!1538219307?locale=en_GB&_dyncharset=UTF8&countrycode=GB&cmd=_help&serverInstance=9005&t=solutionTab&ft=browseTab&ps=solutionPanels&solutionTopic=2500039&solutionId=163157&isSrch=Yes) by selecting the ‘Profile’ link at the top of your Account Overview page and clicking the ‘Credit Cards’ link under ‘Financial Information’.

You can see the status of your eCheque payment, by following these steps:
Log in to your PayPal account at www.paypal.co.uk (http://www.paypal.co.uk/)
Click 'History' at the top of the page
Find the eCheque payment then check the ‘Status’ column:

Cleared: The funds transfer to the recipient has completed
Uncleared: The transaction is still processing from the bank
Failed: We were unable to obtain the funds from your bank and the payment to the recipient has not completed
Canceled: You have cancelled the eCheque. If you cancel an eCheque the funds will still be withdrawn from your bank account but will be credited to your PayPal account balance
Note: You can view the expected clearing date of your eCheque by clicking on the 'Details' link next to the transaction in your ‘History’.

As above, you confirm your card to paypal, they send you two small amounts and you verify them, this sets up your account, then you need to verify/confirm your account and card to your paypal account, i didnt know this and found it by chance, but needs doing otherwise payments are not instant:cry:

yep, nothing to do with transferring, if you verify the card, any money taken out is instant, look under help relating to verifying your card, it should be there somewhere
