was going to suggest this but why do you need to make some when you can just buy some that fit?

lol, its always an option, was just wondering if i could go and salvage something from the scappers, thus saving a few quiq. Times are tough at the min, wedding in 2 weeks and a baby in march, so things dont look like they will ever be the same again, lol.

But i personally would try and find an old worn boot strut for either side, or do as Joff did and work out the exact angle needed so as not to put too much stress on the bonnet and move the mounts accordingly, nova bonnets are not really strong enough to have them fitted too close to the back edge of the bonnet, my mate did this and it used to bend the bonnet down before closing and he ended up taking them off!

I have bonnet lifters, in fact I have a pair of them. Got them free too. I call them "arms", they're portable as they're just under my shoulders.
