hi iv just registered ere and wantin some advice

my mates just purchased a k reg nova sr and wants to do it up

theyve got ?1000 to spend on it and looking for some advice on how to do it up and some startin points

ne help ? ? ?

with 1000 pounds there isnt toooo much you can do.

get some 15" alloys and lower the car 60mm - that'll alter teh way it looks totally for a start.

after that - its all down to personal taste really - look through the feature cars sections and see if you can find anything you like.

You can do loads with a ?1000! look through the Loot newspaper or the trader section of this site. You could get second hand alloys, seats, side repeaters, smoked or clear lights, maybe a steering wheel and gearknob.

It depends on how willing you are to shop around and if you dont mind buying loads of second hand stuff.

if you dont mind buying over the internet you are better off buying online as its usually cheaper.

plenty of places around... if you go to www.maxpower.co.uk they have some links to half reasonable sites - its a quick easy way to start looking around for stuff and see whats available.

improves the looks and handling of the car quite alot.

You wanna be carefull with just springs and standard shocks.

on my first nova, i bought -60mm springs and the rear ones tended to fall out and it was very bumpy.

full kit only costs around 150. second hand kits could be cheaper.

just thought id let u no.

yes definately lower the car - makes it look much better. Get some alloys as well (although this will probably be the most expensive part of modifying the car).

You can do loads of small things for cheap that can improve the looks of the car, such a a bit of colour coding (door handles, gear knob, gear gater etc)
