I let my car drain of oil over night and promptly lost the sump plug. Idiot!!
So I'll nip to the scrap yard and get another. Before I go are all they all the same? or do I have to get a particular type.
Thanks for helping me out of my stupidity.

Pop to halfords and get one with a new washer for a few £. It's the quickest and easiest way mate, trust me.
they would not let you take one from a scrappie mate
they would not let you take one from a scrappie mate
Why on earth not?
I have done before. All though one from halfrauds is about £3 lol
I took one from the scrappy, just undid it and let the oil piss out all over the floor lol

Vauxhall Do 2 Types Of Sump Plugs One Has A Torx With A Rubber Seal Which Is Fitted To The Later Type Vauxhalls And The Other Being A Bolt Type Which Has A Copper Seal They Are Both Interchangable

Exactly, why mess around at the scrappies trying to find one which is gonna be old anyway, Pop to Halfords pick one out & go home.
thread hijack,
im gonna get a magnetic one for my XE, has anyone else used one of these, as all of the modern cars use them?
Not all modern cars use them. They do the job, have one on my tigra, i guess il find out how well it works when i break it again.
Mate has one on his 323 and it picked up a few metal filings from when it was built!
