depends on the colour of the car when its done.

dark colour - smoked.
light colour - clears.

:D
well thats what i think anyway.

although clears on a white car looks pants, they look best on silver cars, with your red project i would go for red clusters!

As you know I'm going smoked... they are also "E" marked. This means they are totally legal as they have built in reflectors. Clear ones don't and therefore are MOT failure. To get round this you'll have to add 2 reflectors to the rear (normally supplied in the kit). They don't need to be big but without them it'll fail.

Now to answer the question. smoked is classier, as clear on a red car looks a little bland. Try mine on it and see if you like the look.

Good luck trying to cover the red then, you will be paying for bare metal paint job then?

as wisewood says

he likes it cos the welsh flag in the back :D 8)

nah erm

light car, clear

dark, smoked or red

my car is red and i wouldnt justify ?85 upwards on rear lights

so i bought a spanish left hand cluster, so bascially i have a set of red clusters, but for like less than half the cost. cost me ?30

pic available if required

looks sweet IMO

I think the euro style clusters suit the more subtle modified cars like ours as well, am going to a scrap yard in Belguim on my next visit (april).

i agree

i think my rear looks sweet - even if i do say so myself

it also keeps a slightly orange glow to the indicators, so theyre still visible unlike some heavily tinted clusters that you cant see the light through

last thing i would want is someone going into the back of me because i modfied my lights!!!!!!!
