ok 3 parts to this...

1. as many of ya know, i picked up a bit of a bargain last week (blu-baby2.0) for ?107!! the bodywork is not perfect but good for its age and considering the 2.0L 8V (very good install), uprated brakes & suspension, new bat & new clutch, lots of potential (see link below for pix)... and i'm hoping to tidy / tart her up a little and then sell it for a bit more... so i was how much you lot think it is worth now? and its potential value? also any ideas that would best increse its value? (i've got a lot of ideas myself, but i'm not sure how far to take it)

2. also, how much do ya think Onephatnova2.0 (my red baby) is worth? i wouldn't even dream of selling her at the moment, cause i lover her too much, but it'd be interesting to see how much you all think she would be worth?

what 'its worth' and what money changes hands are a bit different in my experience

i think someone would pay 1800-2000 for the red one and maybe 500-800 for the blue one

Some times you'd get a lot more from stripping it and scraping the rest!

Just add it up! Bit hasty but if my car could get me ?4000 stripped or ?2500 as is, id strip it!

Comsidering you can buy a fairly reasonable condition GSi for around ?7-800 (less for a rougher one) I personally think all the above prices (except Ste's) are well overpriced. Dont want to offend anyone but your car is worth a hell of a lot more to you than to someone who has not spent hours and ??? on it.

Mine i would say at the moment is worth about ?4-500, but i could get ?400 for the engine, ?300 for the wheels, ?100 for the pair of doors, ?100 for the Dash, another ?250-300 for the rest of the bodywork/Shell, ?250-300 for my Cage, thats not counting the uprated suspension, Brakes etc etc

Well what it's worth and what you'd get for it are 2 very different things.... If you sold them I think the lower estimates are about right.

That's because when people replace things, just because it's brand new and/or uprated, it doesn't mean you can count the WHOLE of the price for it as added value.
