Whats peoples opinions on these? We had 1 come in next door as a trade on 90k in like a darkish sky blue metallic 16inch alloys aircon cl ew etc etc tax till end nov mot till march 2010 on a S reg £500 needed a rocker gasket and possibly rear pads. Ive had it fookin drives lovely and the interior is mint. The 2.0 ecotec isnt that bad imo nice and roomy inside aswell! :thumb:

Ballistic for the kind of car and size it is. Diesel Insignia SRi 160 is much better though and ****ing RAPID, but obviously new and expensive.

ive had a few vectra solid reliable cars which will go forever if looked after and for 500 wi only 90k would easily last a couple of years

I bought a black 02 plate sri 150 monday, for the money i couldnt think of anything better. Its the 2.2 so its not slow, but very comfy half leather, smooth, handles nice and loads of room. Ive started to wonder why i want a nova lol

We need an estate to add to our collection. Dougie had an Astra LXi (mk2 SRi estate thingy) a while back which was well smart but had to go. Now I really, really, really want one! His Belmont is going back on the road soon though and his Vectra SRi, whilst my Nova and Cav SRi go away for a wee while. Reckon I'll be using the Belmonty for a bit then ;)

Had mine for about 5 years now - was an LS - now a GSI rep.

Oil pump failed on the XEV a couple of years ago so its now got an XE in it !

Really handy for trips to the tip and Ikea !

Cheers

Excellent cars, in my experience very reliable, and cheap to buy and run.

I have 2 at the moment, a rather leggy 245,000 mile 2.0 DTi, which I've owned for 6 years now.

And the replacement, a 2.2 DTi SRi 130, which is surprisingly rapid and averages 46mpg!

Both of colins number plates are good lol

My bro had a black GSI a couple of years back, Ive been wanting a vectra myself, looked at a SRI140 but turned it down after i realised it had more rust than most novas.

Cav turbo rims look good but I'm running waaaayyyy to small tyres (195/45 16s). My diameter is 2" less than std! lol Handles good tho. Solid firm ride. Accelerates quicker. Drives better round town but 80mph is about 4k so not ideal if you do a lot of long runs.

Here's mine (not best pic)

Oh and... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vectra-B-Coilover-lowering-springs-shock-kit-741020_W0QQitemZ360179302932QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item53dc5c0214

Its an ok kit for the money. Does the job. Only prob I had fitting wise was having to file the hole out slightly that the brake pipe clips into. They also clunk while turning at low speeds. Apparantly the spring is moving slightly on the platform but it soon pops back.
