Good luck with conversion mate, i'd use 22 spline shaft and second hand mounts off here or ebay

Gte (22 spline) shafts will be fine.
Std rubber mounts are fine.

Std rubber mounts aint fine, engine will jump about all over the place

The engine moves yes, isn't that bad. But glued mounts are much much better.

The engine movement upsets the car "balance".

Boot in in 2nd, with std mounts and then let off, the gearstick will probably move about 4inches when you let off lol
Do the same with solids and the stick doesnt move at all

Benn

That's a bit ott, mine wasn't anywhere near that bad. (where new std mounts tho)

But its much better with glued up ones.

Solids ftw!

Fill the mounts with silicone, pair of cavvy inner cv joints on 22 spline gte/gsi shafts. Chris astley mount kit, powercap for neat/easy fitment

Can do the lot for about £500, if its a long term project rebuild the engine etc and you will be looking at alotlot more it all adds up!

Dont forget to add in the cost of decent suspension, brakes. Uprated poly bushes all makes a difference.
