For my supercharger conversion on a x16xe I need to run a multi ribbed belt and pulley set up.

One thing springs to mind tho, will there be enough clearence to the chassis leg? As this alternator pulley is alot wider than a single v.

Due to get my shell spayed soon so need to find this out before hand so I can modify it if need be.
I know most people change to single v setup when putting in c16xe/x16xe.

Is this because of the clearence ?

Any help or ideas anyone ?

Thanks in advance Edd.

In some cars, ribbed belt fits fine.
On others it rubs....

Worse case scenario is it rubs, so id go solid mounts and ease the chassis leg in slightly.

I too had the same clearance as above with the standard wide belt stuff.

I wonder if its different between mk1 and mk2?

I didn't risk it so got a sbd single v alternator pulley and fitted a gte belt with a Sri nova bottom pulley.

Baxters the best guy to ask as he had a go at this before getting shut of it to burgo (supercharging that is). ;)

Cheers for the info guys.

Thinking of putting engine on mounts and into the bay just to see what the situation is.
