whats the going rate for a bare shell respray on a nova

with everything already taken out by your self.

interior
windows
doors
boot
bonnet
ect...so its just a rolling shell. if its any help the colour will be black. ive had a quote, just seeing if its a good price or not.

i have 2 hungarian fellas doing mine for 1200 euro, that includes paint taking out and refitting front and back windscreens, fitting doors wings bonnet and bumpers and sideskirts and lining everything up, they work for a fella i know and they will be doing it in there spare time and for the spraying they will be using his spray booth, so happy days

I'd say starting at about a grand but getting closer to two, more realistically

I have stripped my shell. No windows, engine, rubbers etc. Just rolling. I am supplying the paint and my mate has done all the major filler/prep work first. All that the lads at the paintshop need to do is, touch in with some stopper, prime and paint.

I'm paying around the £600 mark. But i used to work for the firm.

I know a guy who will do it for around £500.00.as long as its all preped up and ready for spraying.

if you prep yourself it can be as little as £250, thats not mates rates either.

Its hard to give an answer as your question is a little vague, You may be stripping it yourself but does it need any repair panels or welding etc? Obviously more time equals more money. Also the quality of paint is also a cost issue. £80 paint isnt going to look or last as long as £500 paint! It all depends overall on what type of job your after. If your looking for a cheap and cheerful or a pukka no corners cut job. It takes a lot of time to prep for a quality result. In my experiance anything under 1k dont expect much. 2-2.5k however should see it come back pretty flawless.

yeah sorry its a little vague. basically i had a rough quote from a insurance approved garage near me. with them doing everthing, prepping, painting ect. but me stpipping the car down myself, doors, boot ect it was about
£1,500-£1,700 and once the job is done they said if im not happy with anything just bring it back to be sorted and it comes with a 5 year rust guarantee, so if the paint buddles, rust comes through anywhere they will repaint the car again free of charge

In my books,

£800 for an ok job.
£2k for a perfect job.

I'm getting a mates rate of £400'ish... including all prep e.t.c i just have to pay for paint on-top of that - so it's up to me what quality paint i get .

Chap has been spraying odds and ends for sometime; but is not a Tried and tested sprayer so mine will be a Portfolio peice so to say... He's a prep perfectionist though so it should come out pretty decent

i was going to do my nova black but when i got a quote he said i would be looking over a grand because you gotta get it perfect or you will see everything bumps etc even if they are filled and smoothed.
