its the dumb & dumber of car race movies........
major plot problems....
1. nobody really makes a nascar racer in a barn in the village where deliverance is set.
2. it hasn't been all good ole boys running it for 30 years.
3. police don't supply strippers for hire
4. the driver doesn't ride home in the truck with the mechanics..........
5. talladega nights is way better

Yeah, it's not accurate, but I personally don't care. Good action and that car looks mean as hell when the panels are pinned on in Harrys barn.

they managed to lower the most professional motorsport series to some sort of yokel versus yokel thing..... they managed to miss out the vast majority of technical elements of nascar, tom cruise seemed to think he was starring in top gun again, & nicole kidman obviously got parachuted into the 'ooh, we've got to create a part for tom's bird' role. before the start credits are over, you know just what's going to happen, and it does. the only good bits are the 'race' bits and the part where they trash the hire cars. but the inane crap in between bored me rigid. and wasn't it remarkable that cole trickle (T C) invented drafting with 2 toy cars & nicole kidmans ar$e.... then the team boss taught a racing driver that managing to stop your tyres from being trashed was the best way to race.... as if any racing driver needed teaching that....
the worst bit about it was the fact that jerry bruckheimer made it..........
there are way better race movies........
