nah, i deffo think its a ferrari
nah, i deffo think its a ferrari
Listen to the engine speed and the gearchanges, it sounds like its doing nearly 200mph but the vid looks about 50+ i definately think its dubbed, besides iirc there was a thread about this vid a few years back and someone proved it is a slow car with a dubbed over engine:p
Plus aswell, if the camera is bolted to the front of a ferrari (which iirc all are rear engine'd) how is the sound so lound and crisp?

They might have had a sound recorder nearer the engine too.
I've been involved with recording vehicle sounds when I was in the computer games industry. They have multiple mics all over the car.

where is this thread.
and the driver was a really famous driver apprantly it was an f1 driver.
also, if you worked out the distance he travels, in the time he tavels it, i bet its not a bloody citreon or something.
also if you look when he is on the straight about 50 seconds in, that is more then 50mph
Im still not convinced as at the end of that straight you mean martin, he sounds like he is flat out, so should that not be like 160+(?) mph so at that speed that corner would not be possible, i did think of that jim but had already posted lol
hmmm, possibly spudly, but im sure there is some tyre squeel, and the bend isnt that strong, about 1min in im guesing we are on about.
and he brakes alot when he is about to go right of that semi circle.

righty ho...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%27%C3%A9tait_un_rendez-vous
and i quote...
A making-of-the-rendezvous documentary indicates that Lelouch himself was the driver, that the car driven was the Mercedes, although the sound track is from a Ferrari. One observer was posted, with a walkie talkie, close to the Louvre (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louvre) palace at the only blind junction (archway) to assist the driver,[6] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%27%C3%A9tait_un_rendez-vous#cite_note-5) however Lelouch has revealed that the radios failed, and if the assistant had tried to warn him of a pedestrian the message would not have been received.
and if i remember rightly 5th gear tried to copy it last year or the year before and revealed that is WAS a mercedes.
Why thanking you mr Asa:thumb:
lol fair play to you, thanks :)
and not that i don't believe you now, but i would never trust wikipedia :)
