when i pot carbs on my nova i used a weber throttle cable kit and ground the end off the pedal and put a block on there with two grub screws and fed the cables through and tightened up the screws, i was running twin cables,

Best bet is to use a Weber throttle linkage. I think Demon Tweeks do them, but you'll probably be able to get them cheaper elsewhere if you search online.

i have got a universal cable with the pedal nipple but need a solderless lump with like a grub screw to hold cable
