Just had to do the deed. Thought insurance was something that got better with age!!
Was going to go laid up cover but then when you swap it back to full cover after winter you can't have protected no claims bonus until you renew again, thought that was a bit risky so had to insure it fully even though I don't intend using it now till after winter.
I'm a 28 year old accountant, clean license, 8 years no claims, no accidents. Car is garaged but with one of the worst postcodes in the country. Car limited to 3k miles, all mods declared with an agreed value of £8k.
Total premium is £590 fully comp with £300 excess and protected no claims :cry:
Other sensible quotes were £540 but with £500 excess and no agreed value and i'm not even going to mention the ridiculous ones I got.
